Position Description Summary

This position is responsible for the professional and timely completion of IT issues, projects, and needs.

The IT Assistant works alongside the IT Manager to ensure all internal IT tickets are resolved quickly

and up to BHI Club standards.

Role & Responsibilities

• Complete all assigned incoming IT tickets, logging all work within the IT ticketing system

• Troubleshoot general hardware, software, setup, and configuration issues

• Promptly resolve and respond to all end-user questions, including managing employee system

access and passwords

• Configure new hardware and software to help meet Club goals and objectives

• Analyze, communicate, and resolve IT issues as a team and individual contributor

• Provide preventative system maintenance, as needed

• Assist with the upgrading and migration of new software

• Train end-users on hardware, software, and data security, as needed

• Be on-call during certain, scheduled times to respond to IT emergencies, as needed

• Be detail-oriented and able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment

• Solve problems, work as a team, be a leader, and inspire happiness

• Operate within all guidelines, policies, standards, and constraints as established by the Club,

and assist in the implementation of BHIC mandatory standards of operations

• Keeps current with changing industry trends relative to the IT operation

• Maintain up-to-date credentials, certificates, and licenses, as applicable

• Commit to continuous professional development, keeping abreast with current industry

trends, tools, technologies, and opportunities, attending conferences, seminars, and

workshops as assigned

Qualifications & Education Requirements

• Working knowledge of general IT systems and processes

• Must possess appropriate analytical skills, attention to detail, follow-through, creativity, and a

high level of motivation

• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally in both written and verbal formats

• Willingness to learn and accept instruction

• Be dependable, prompt, and team-oriented with a positive attitude

• Knowledge of club management systems like Northstar or Jonas a plus

• Ability to work with computers, printers, copiers, phones, and audio systems

• Prior IT experience required

• High School Diploma or GED required

Other Accountabilities

• Because of the fluctuating demands of the Clubs’ operation, it may be necessary for each

employee to perform a multitude of different functions; therefore, as an essential part of your

job, you will be expected to help others when the occasion arises, just as others are expected

to help you while we foster a team environment. Therefore, you may be required to perform

other tasks, as needed, that are not included in the above.

• Adhere to all of the various company-written mandatory standards of operations, policies and

procedures, manuals, memos, and other oral instructions.

Working Conditions

• Indoors, in an office or Club setting

• Outdoors, on the terrace or pool deck in varying weather

Physical Requirements

• Regularly required to sit, talk, hear, use hands, bend, squat, lift, kneel, and crouch

• Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time

• Repetitive motions are required

• Moderate to heavy lifting, pushing, and pulling is required, in excess of 40 pounds

Attendance Expectations

• This position has an expected workload of 30 to 40 hours per week, barring special

circumstances when overtime may be required; off-season hours may differ
