Position Description Summary

This position is responsible for professional and timely IT services for internal users and Members; the IT

Manager supervises the entire IT operation for the Clubs, including the management of IT Support

Assistants and IT Specialists, to ensure all assigned projects and internal IT tickets are resolved quickly

and up to Club standards.

Role & Responsibilities

• Oversee the strategic operation of the IT Department for both Clubs, prioritizing labor, costs, and

projects according to overall Club goals

• Ensure both Clubs have proper IT coverage during key periods, filling in as necessary to ensure

adequate coverage for all areas at all times

• Manage the strategic and operating budgets for the IT department, as it pertains to labor, fixed

costs, preventative maintenance, software implementation, and all other IT functions

• Strategically work with department heads and other Club leadership to effectively solve enduser problems by presenting effective solutions that improve internal Club processes

• Train & develop IT Staff to ensure high-level responsiveness & maximum effectiveness; conduct

performance reviews in line with company review cycles

• Motivate and inspire the IT team, ensuring timely completion of all necessary duties & tasks

• Manage the IT ticketing software, ensuring incoming tickets are handled in a timely, costeffective, & professional manner

• Own all vendor-management relationships, ensuring the Clubs get the most out of all purchased

or subscribed products; regularly conduct service agreement audits to ensure the Clubs are

receiving the best possible service and price

• Process payroll on a weekly basis, correcting punches, approving time off, and managing

schedules while ensuring labor costs align with set targets

• Staff the IT department as necessary; interview, assess, hire, and train new staff as needed, in

accordance with club standards & within budgetary guidelines

• Work with the IT Team and relevant department heads and managers to ensure all developed

technologies efficiently solve end-user problems

• Strategically develop helpful software applications that improve the Clubs’ internal systems,

processes, and operations by saving time, costs, labor, etc

• Ensure the highest level of accountability for the IT Team, following up on projects, assignments,

and deadlines, as necessary

• Attend all regularly scheduled meetings, ensuring good communication between departments

Work within assigned deadlines, ensuring all project work is completed in a timely manner
• Continually research best practices that will assist in the evolution of world class level service to
internal end-users
• Work with Marketing to maintain the Clubs’ websites and internal servers & databases
• Ensure all A/V equipment is setup for all relevant events; be present at regular Board meetings
• Along with the Club leadership & the IT Team, work to develop an internal Club-communications
dashboard, integrating financial data, workforce analytics, communications on upcoming events,
and forecasting volume for labor management
• Use PowerAutomate, Power BI, and other relevant or similar programs to continually improve
internal communications & processes within & between departments
• Review & approve all relevant technical writing documentation for training purposes
• Assist the IT Support Assistants with incoming tickets, as needed, completing all assigned work in
a timely fashion
• Regularly report on IT metrics to ensure continual system & process improvement
• When on property, help troubleshoot general hardware, software, setup, and configuration
issues for staff, as needed
• Train end-users on hardware, software, and data security, as needed
• Assist with IT office coverage, being either on property or on-call during certain, scheduled times
to respond to IT emergencies, as needed
• Maintain the IT office and storage areas, including the server room, ensuring that all inventory,
supplies, hardware, and related items are stored and organized efficiently
• Ensure the IT Team logs all time worked using the internal ticketing tracking system, to provide
relevant analytics
• Be detail-oriented and able to prioritize

• Operate within all guidelines, policies, standards, and constraints as established by the Club, and
assist in the implementation of BHIC mandatory standards of operations
• Keeps current with changing industry trends relative to the IT operation
• Maintain up-to-date credentials, certificates, and licenses, as applicable
• Commit to continuous professional development, keeping abreast with current industry trends,
tools, technologies, and opportunities, attending conferences, seminars, and workshops as
assigned

Qualifications & Education Requirements
• Proficient knowledge of general IT systems and processes
• Must possess appropriate analytical skills, attention to detail, follow-through, creativity, and a
high level of motivation
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally in both written and verbal formats
• Be dependable, prompt, and team-oriented with a positive attitude

• Knowledge of club management systems like Northstar, Club Essentials, or Jonas a plus
• Prior IT experience required (3 – 4 years)
• High School Diploma or GED required; four-year college degree preferred
• Prior experience as Manager, Supervisor, or Project Manager preferred
• Relevant certifications a plus

Other Accountabilities
• Because of the fluctuating demands of the Clubs’ operation, it may be necessary for each
employee to perform a multitude of different functions; therefore, as an essential part of your
job, you will be expected to help others when the occasion arises, just as others are expected to
help you while we foster a team environment. Therefore, you may be required to perform other
tasks, as needed, that are not included in the above.
• Adhere to all of the various company written mandatory standards of operations, policies and
procedures, manuals, memos, and other oral instructions.

Physical Requirements
• Regularly required to use a computer & other information technologies
• Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time
• Repetitive motions are required, including typing
• Moderate to heavy lifting, pushing, and pulling is required, in excess of 40 pounds, when
assisting with installation projects

Attendance Expectations
• This position has an expected workload of 40 - 55 hours per week, barring special circumstances
when overtime may be required; off-season hours may differ
